This place is for spicy food! indeed, but you can still able to eat something non spicy while your friends enjoy some spicyfood during lunchtime, and lunch menu ONLY.Got myself a nonspicybeef noddle soup, when we came in is just only us seating, but my noddle didn’t come until the other table got food served. (they orderedwok frieddishes) I wonder how long it takes to make a noodle soup. I appreciated the beef has been fried and put on top of my noodle soup (cause I was just expecting something stew beef), but is just made the whole soup oily.We also ordered a dish of dumplings, it came out just pure water boiled is the chilisauce that makes it alive.
Re-visited this eatery last night. Prior to go in the restaurant, we noticed that there was a promo notice on the window offering a special price for the Poached Fish Fillet with Pickled Vegetable for just $10.00 instead of the regular price of $ 29.80 for any purchasing more than $40.00. Well, it is really a good deal so we ordered Stirred fried water spinach with chilli and the Pipi with chilli sauce plus this special offer. The deal is so good that we nearly every table takes the deal. Honestly, it did not take a long time to have all the orders ready on our table. First of all, portions are generous. Stirred fried vegetable is full of wok qi, Pipis are full and tasteful. We particularly like those Chinese donuts accompanied with the pipi, which are surprising match with the soup from the dish of pickled vegetable and fish. Besides that the serving of the pickled vegetable fish was in full size without reduction on the portion even though we only paid $10.00 for it. THUMB-UP!3 months ago Rating 4/5Comparing to the overwhelming supplies of Malatang eateries in Brisbane, it is always good to see one of the eateries like this who serves more varieties of spicy street-food and dishes. Went to explore early last month. It was nearly full house and we were served by a very passionate waitress who gave us a lots of advices on selecting our orders. Finally we comprised with orders as: Traditional Chengdu Crispy Pork, Glutinous Rice Cakes, Cold Sliced Pork Knuckle with Chili Powder, Stir Fried Cabbage with Dried Chili, Spicy Chicken Wanton and a bowl of soup. These authentic dishes are all delicious. Even though it is the first time that we tried the Crispy Pork and the Glutinous Rice Cakes, the taste and portions won our appreciation. It is a good place to go if you are fans of spicy food and get sick of Malatang. Cheers 🙂
Flavours of ChengduThis newcomer to the Sunnybank Market Square dining precinct produces amazing Sichuan food. All the dishes we chose were delicious – Sichuan cold noodles, Chongqing chicken, spicy green beans and Sichuan bbq fish (barrumundi). The flavour of the chilli oil infused with Sichuan pepper took us straight back to Chengdu! We’ll be back to try some more dishes!!
