This is my go-to Malatang! I like it better than the one at Garden city because they dont give you those plastic bowls you have to pay $1 for AND they have a better selection of ingredients. Soup is very rich though lots of oil too. Definitely needs some acidity to cut through it all. I went with medium heat and it was noticeable but not really hot enough for me. Maybe Ill try the spicy and sour next time. Dont get me wrong though this place is the goods. Definitely recommend

Not the first time to have meals here but the first time to have dinner (particularly a vegetarian dinner) at this place since it has partially changed the management from Narati Noodle & Grill to the current name of David’s Noodles & Hot Pot. Basically, there is not much changed on the menu but obviously they took off the signature Lamb Skewers from the menu, which is a shame. We order the Malatang for the bowl of selected items of vegetables with mild spiciness and the management provides four choices of home-made recipe dips to choose, which is free of charge. Besides the malatang, we placed an extra order of Hot and Sour Potato Noodles as well.It did not take a long time, then the potato noodles was on our table. First spoon of soup earns our appreciation, I love this one more than the identical one that I has at the Szuchuan Gourmet in the same shopping centre. The hotness and sourness are just spot on to my palate. In fact, the bowl was empty without a drop of soup left at the end. Next to the table came the Malatang, which again lead us to the fantastic experience of food journey to taste a mild spiced vegetarian dinner. Although we missed out lamb skewer, this eatery is still the best choice for us if we love to have malatang and now will be the default place for vegetarian lunch or dinner. I think we will try the Dry Hot Pot next time… Cheers!
