Since the took over of the business from previous Half Time Tea Bar over three year to four years ago. This eatery is continuously serving diners shopping at Sunnybank Plaza with delicious Taiwanese style fast food. I re-visited it over a week’s ago to aim for some vegetarian lunch, which was recommended by my friends. Walked in and was surprised of how business they were. The varieties of food displayed at the bay marie are the most attractive items that I was looking at. Realised that a well balanced diet of one choice of meat and three types of vegetables with rice is the main hot selling items. Inside the display bay marie I can see many options of meat such as Black Pepper Por Chops, Sweet & Sour Fish & Chicken with Chef’s special sauce etc. while the vegetables dishes including Stirred Fried Shredded Potatoes with Vinegar, Mapo Tofu & Eggplants with chilli. My dish of three vegetables with rice is only $9.50. As a fast-food eatery, they do serve more than enough selection of food for customers and the important thing is that all the food carry their own character and also delicious in taste. No wonder its business is going so well. Thumb-up!Jul 04, 2015Located at the previous spot of Half-time Tea Bar is the Happy Hours Tea Bar. I love the street-foods that they serve at breakfast time. Those food items are similar to Half-time but even more homey and rustic. I prefer to get the Take-Aways because it is not quite comfortable to dine in. May be you can try the other foods that they offers for lunch or dinner as refer to the menu but I found nothing attracting my taste buds.
I was shopping in Sunnybank plaza and remembered I haven’t tried this place after reading positive reviews of this joint. It is located next to Asian grocery shop under the car park. Shop it self looks quite small from outside but there are enough seating inside in small space. In the showcase there were lots of good looking food for lunch but as I was feeling like noodle I opted to order from the menu. After few minutes of serious decision making, I ordered spicy and sour noodle. My partner ordered noodle dish as well but I forgot the name so pardon me for that.Dish arrived pretty quickly and I was soon digging into massive size of noodle. Taste wise it was yum and I left the place happy customer thinking I made a perfect choice for late Saturday lunch. Oh beware this place is closed on Sundays.
