  AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!I used to love Brooklyn Depot, but after my most recent experience, I will NEVER return again! (I believe new owners?!)If you want any form of customer service, respect or a decent meal then DO NOT eat at this establishment!!In my experience, the new owners have tried to cut costs any way they can but unfortunately these savings don’t go towards the customers as they’ve increased the prices on products too! They’ve reduced the number of staff, (leaving very long wait times!), they’ve changed the quality of their product (dry, tasteless and “skinny” fries are now thick!, limited drinks available etc!) AND they’ve reduced the quantity of their products (used to receive approx 8 tenders but now they give you a measly 4!)However my major concern is below!!I ordered a chicken burger and specifically asked the waiter if it was chicken BREAST (as the menu didn’t specify) to which I was told it definitely was. The burger came out sloppy so I cut it in half to find out that it was actually chicken THIGH which was extremely discoloured!I showed the waiter the burger and explained that I can’t eat chicken thigh, hence me asking prior to ordering. I told him that I wasn’t happy, he agreed and took the burger away.I had nearly finished the rest of my meal (chips and tenders) when the waiter approached again, this time telling me “I know that I told you the incorrect thing, however we’ve pulled it apart and there’s nothing wrong with it” I told him that I shouldn’t be paying for the burger as I couldn’t eat it and especially now that they’ve pulled it apart. After much back and fourth, he told me that I still had to pay!! I then asked to speak with the manager. The owner approached and I explained the situation, the owner was immediately defensive saying things like “are you calling my food sh*t”. I explained that I was happy to pay for the food that I had eaten but not the burger that I COULDN’T eat due to the incompetence of his staff.The owner refused to let me pay for the other items and told me that he would call the police if I didn’t pay for the burger that I COULDN’T and DIDN’T eat. I was in such disbelief, I started recording the owner for evidence of what had happened, he saw me recording and lost it, he lunged at me and tried to remove my phone from my hands.After further heated discussions, I was forced to pay for the meal in full.I want to warn other potential customers of my experience so they don’t get caught out like I did! DO NOT EAT HERE! – STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!

  Really friendly and prompt service. Burgers were really good and enjoyed them a lot. The fries were also really really good. Got the jalepino poppers and wasn’t a fan to be honest, just had no flavour. But apart from that tiny thing I Can’t fault the place and would go back.

  Pretty darn good for American style street food. Fries were delish, the salad was massive and delicious, the hotdog was yum too. On the salad though, maybe a little less pesto would be better to my taste. Nice ambience outside, very polite staff members, stunning place to eat.

  Sweet Potato fries were amazing, friendly and quick service. The chocolate milkshake is a must try. Burgers were also decent – lovely American style dining in Surfers Paradise.
