Our favorite dining place in Gold Coast. Too bad we didn’t have enough time here to try out more Cuban cuisine. Love the interior decorations, the juxtaposition of traditional and modern Cuban, the chillhops music, the friendly service, and the extraordinary food. Something as simple as fish & chips were so amazingly delicious. The additional of dills into seafood sauce, hmm, straight to the point! The pork crackling tapas, small portion appetizers, were tender, juicy, and crispy. Believe it or not, we had since watched more documentaries about Cuban food, then the country, Cuba itself. Who said food can’t connect people?
Was in Surfers with a couple of friends and we were looking for somewhere kind of classy and different than the usual restaurants around, and boy did this tick the boxes.Fit out was really cool, and loved the cuban themes and decor. Staff were friendly and attentive, and were happy to make suggestions and recommendations. We decided on the Caribbean punch which was pretty tasty and got a variety of Tapas.I loved the lamb meatballs, the calamari and the Empanadas.Nice upscale venue to bring some friends if you are looking for something a little different, next time i am keen to try out some of their red wines, and try one of their mains, the salmon dish was being served to another table and looked amazing!
Calamari was beautiful. Great tapas even suitable for children ( beautiful tasty fire cooked chicken ) . Empanadas were super fresh. Portion sizes generous and healthy sides ( salad ). Very friendly service. Would recommend !
Walking past and decided to check out the menu. After seeing the selection of tapas we decided to give it a go. Very pleased we made the decision, great setting, friendly staff, excellent service and top notch food. The pork belly was perfect and so was the calamari. The beef cheek just melts in your mouth and is full of flavour. We will be going back to try more of the menu and dessert next time.
A great Cuban /Peruvian experience if you haven’t actually been there & tasted the real McCoy. The only let down for me was the salmon ceviche, not that it was at all bad it’s just I have had better in the said countries. The salad which accompanied the ceviche was delicious, as were the empanadas . Chock full of fresh veggies & chunky cheese. Beef cheeks super tender served with roast potatos, according to the other half- beautiful . Service warm & friendly
