Ordered a margarita for carbo child and promptly took it to our Indian restaurant. The pizza crust was light, tender and stretchy. Just enough tomatoe to keep it interesting. The crowd waiting was a little tough to handle with most having been on the turps all day but there were plenty of staff behind the bench to counter any issues. Great price and authentic pizza! We’ll be back this visit for sure.
Review number 400.The Meatballs family stopped into Mondo Pizza for a late lunch. We ordered a large America (Spicy Pepperoni) and a large Margherita. The pizzas had a lot of great elements and I love the fact that they use a wood fired pizza oven, but they seriously need to clean this thing. The underside of our pizzas were dusted with soot and there were many bits of wood charcoal adhered to the pizza ranging from the size of a pea up to the size of a grape (there was one piece served in the box next to the pizza that was as big as the first knuckle on my thumb).Every slice of pizza had to be flipped over, the bits of charcoal had to be picked off and the soot had to be wiped off (and/or the edges of the crust removed). It was a real shame, because the crust was good, the sauce was good and the toppings were above average. Unfortunately, wood charcoal has a bitter and unpleasant taste, so biting into a chunk kinda ruins a slice of pizza. With a clean(er) pizza oven this would have been 3.5+ pizza. As it was, this was 2.5.At $36.50 for two pizzas that weren’t enough to feed two adults and a child, this also wasn’t a very good deal.
Great pizza/pasta place. We ordered take away on a lazy night in whilst staying at the Q1. My partner had the marinara pizza and I had the bolognese with spinach & ricotta ravioli. Food was made quickly and both were delicious!
We came here for lunch on our holiday. We ordered a Carbonara and a small Supremo pizza. The food is very good, 1PM and not long to wait at all. Generous portion of pasta and and the same with pizza toppings. Very well done wood fired pizza. Great quality and also the service.
Great garlic focaccia! Nice and handy if stating at the Watermark or Q1. Enjoyed the Australia pizza too. Good service – nice and friendly and fast. Thanks guys
