I went here with my boyfriend while staying in Surfers Paradise. Nicolini’s exceeded our expectations. The waiter that seated us was very personable. The food was all delicious and generously sized (we absolutely could not finish our meals!). We had an antipasto to start. It was made up of a range of meats, cheeses and vegetables and was big enough to share between two. The range of flavours on the plate were fantastic and the starter was my favourite part of the meal.For our mains, we had the lasagne and the tortellini papalina, which is beef filled tortellini in a cream sauce. The lasagne had a very strong beef taste – nothing fake there. The tortellini was delicious but far too rich for me. I’m not used to such heavy meals and couldn’t eat it, but I’m sure that it would suit others with a different palate. We will return to Nicolini’s if we find ourselves in Surfers Paradise again.

Jovial Manager comes over and cracks a joke with us and I asked where our meals where? Over an hour and they were clearly rushed and not great standard. Offered money off the bill to rectify but just go elsewhere.
The atmosphere is a little odd – it has a family/small business feel, but just felt a bit weird. Very friendly staff though and the food (we only had pizzas) was amazing. In fact my children said it was the best pizza they had ever had! One issue was that they add on a 1.75% surcharge for eftpos, which was another weird little addition that just spoiled an otherwise excellent meal.
I’ve been coming here since I was a child. Love the atmosphere and the authentic Italian food. Whether you are a local or just visiting, I am happy to say you will never be disappointed.
Ordered pizza with the lot, they forgot the anchovies!!!!! Service not the best, better restaurants around. Go elsewhere to compare. Only good thing was Chandon which wasn’t expensive.
