What can I say more about the thisrestaurant? Such a cozy, lovelyatmosphere. Chef, staff, customersare in great harmony.Personally, I felt a bit of Japanesetaste in the amuse later, I foundthe chef lived in Japan for a fewyears. Yes, I was right!
Everything about my meal was perfect. The vegetarianmenu only needed small tweaks to be vegan. For perhapsthe first time, my omnivorous partner had moremodifications to his meal than I did! There were a myriadof textures, flavors, and presentations, all well balancedand interesting. The service was impeccable. If you havedate constraints and there is no availability for dinnercheck lunch. It is the same menu and, honestly, thetiming worked much better for us because we were therefor four hours. We had a leisurely, extravagant meal andstill had time to meet up with friends in the evening.

Easy and convenient considering I was staying at the Wyndham hotel and this restaurant is located right underneath. I had the steamed dumplings, spring rolls and the satay chicken as a main. The steamed dumplings and spring rolls were delightful and the dumplings were very juicy. The chicken satay was not like your usual satay-thick peanut sauce- but I really really enjoyed it!!! The food was reasonably priced and the service was great- it only took about 10-15 minutes for takeaway. If you are staying in surfers paradise I highly recommend visiting the old China bar and restaurant.
Excellent friendly service. We got takeaway as we were staying at the Wyndham Hotel. Compared to others this place is cheap and better. I recommend it if your in surfers. Dumplings are great value and tasty. Thanks!
