Taj palace is an Indian restaurant serving delicious Indian food. Was travelling in a group so we had a buffet set up for us. Twice we had dinner here and both the times there wasn’t anything amiss. Coming to what I ate, I can only remember a few things. I had spring roll, dal makhani, shahi paneer, mix veg, fruit custard, pulao, naan and similar dishes in the second day but we had warm sawayi kheer as sweet dish on the second day. Staff is friendly and courteous and they take care of the needs of the customers really well. The restaurant has a departmental store just next to it which sells Indian spices and Indian products. A total win win.

Went there on my first day in surfer’s paradise. They have decent food options- veg biriyani was costing some 18 AUD. I decided to spend less and order a coconut rice- but was told I should order minimum 15 AUD to have food there- I didn’t feel the need to spend so much. There was a patel’s indian grocery store next door and my hostel had kitchen facilities- so I bought some rice, ready to eat etc and went back to hostel and cooked my own food- this was great as I could save 80-85% or close to 15-18000 INR during my one week Australia trip by cooking my own food, than spending 20-25 dollars per meal at restaurant.

Landed in Gold Coast at evening and staying in Surfer’s Paradise. So went out for dine at the last moment. Most of the places were about to get closed; so last minute slide into the place as they were about to get close. No order for entrees as ordered directly the main course.Matar Paneer, 2 Tandoori Roti, 1 Masala Khulcha, Chucumber Raita, Papadum and 2 Corona Prep Time: It was fast. Within 15 mins the main course arrived. Matar Paneer was quite much watery than the normal. Flavors were nice but was much watery.Masala Khulcha was great in taste with nice flavors of mashed potato, carrots and peas. Service: they also asked us if the food was nice making sure their last minute prep was correct or not.Happy with the price and place as overall it was costed around $58 for the meal.
