After I read Diana’s review, it reminded me to do mine of the experience back to nine months ago. It was the New Year day lunch, we booked a table to redeem our Groupon deal. I was surprised to see they opened on that day just after the celebration of New Year Eve in Surfers Paradise. Arrived a little bit early and it had not opened yet. We wandered around and still doubted about our reservation. Then the miracle happened, they opened and started cleaning up. Therefore, we waited about ten minute past our reserved time and walked in. There was a friendly lady (she was the chef) who looked after us. After about 10 to 15 minutes, our New Year lunch with two glasses of Moet & Chandon Champagne was on the table. Looking at the fresh king prawns in a bucket, natural oysters, lamb & chicken skewers and those sweet potatoes fries, we were so happy with the first lunch of the year. However, even after nine months, this dinning experience was still so fresh and impressive.

Admitted the food was simple, but simplicity always boils down to flavor & presentation. The prawns were particularly impressive, succulent & tender, as was the calamari. Service & also the wine was excellent. Shame about that lighting (always happens in these venues though) ruined my pics!!
