Average food but incredibly rude and hostile delivery driver. Apparently Greenslopes Private Hospital, 2 km from your store, is too hard to find, and your driver felt it was ok to abuse staff and a patient family and was asked to leave after his performance. Never again.
Tarragindi Seafood and Authentic Indian Curry is a little shop, just off Toohey Road in Tarragindi. I only ordered a piece of Cod. It came with a wedge of lemon and a little PC tartare sauce. Cost me $6. Very reasonable for a nice sized piece. It Was ok with a Crunchy crumb coating. The service was fine and friendly. Thanks SARDS.
Don’t know if we got them on a bad night but it was the worst fish and chips we’ve have ever had. Hamburger with the lot had burnt meat and dried out bread roll other toppings were ok. Barramundi was clearly not fresh you could tell it’s been frozen as it was quiet tough. The calamari was dry and rubbery. Prawn cutlets were ok and chips were ok. Value for money, no! Very poor, picked up the menu while we were there, it’s gone in the bin with the food. Won’t be going back. Prefer to travel for good food than go to the local, very disappointed.
Tarragindi Seafood – Tarragindi, Brisbane. A locally-owned and family-operated store on the other side of the highway, Tarragindi Seafood is a convenient and quick option. It is within the shopping junction near Toohey Forest and is purely counter service. They specialise in fresh seafood and are good for the most part, with a couple of issues here and there. One night my dining buddy went out to get some of these – I was finishing an assignment and needed some brain food so this was a moment to try these guys again (I had not in a few years). The pack for 2 was bought which contained 2 cod, 2 prawns, 8 calamari rings, 2 seafood bites, 2 seafood sticks and a whole of lot chips. As extras, 2 potato scallops and 2 pineapple rings were added. It was all good quality – the seafood sticks and seafood bites are examplese of things that are really that they are what they are – but the oil was starting to get a bit old (good to change it up from hearsay) and my dining buddy pointed to the colour of the fries for referece; he had worked for years in a takeaway shop. However, the standouts were the cod – the flesh was soft and mildly flavoured being able to be broken up easily – the pineapple ring – juicy and chunky piece of fruit with the sweet flaovur still in – the prawns – delicious as always – and the calamari, it was not stringy like it tends to be. Everything else was good as well, the potato scallops were light on the batter plus there was ample amounts of the chips. On the side was some tartare sauce to dip the various bits and snacks in. This was passable, but not a must to go to for a meal.
