Lovely evening out for dinner. Thinking its school night and no reservation required, WRONGIt was full and even as we left around 9pm, people were still coming for dinner. I dont believe Ive seen so many waitstaff at a restaurant. Service was quick and friendly, food was amazingly quick. I wont go through a dish by dish review as we had many. What stood out was the dessert. Bougatsa, boooooyah, it was amazing Just a word of caution, flavours are intense When dish calls for salt, its salty, if it calls for citrus, its citrusy and so on and so forth Overall it was s lovely night, lovely spot and just great food Thanks Kevin for making date night a success

3.5This Gold Coast icon has opened a poolside outpost at the Calile Hotel. We were lucky enough to secure the last table in a full restaurant for Thursday lunch. Clientele is a sea of Camilla kaftans, an actress of the small screen, posing insta-models & some fellow business lunchers. Its a lot. But the vibe of this newbie is electric & trending hard.Short menu makes for easy choices & quick decisions. Meanwhile a complimentary amouse bouche of fish & lemon soup zested up our tastebuds. This briefly lured us towards the seafood options til we saw that prawns cost *ahem* $12 each. Haha yeah nah. Moving on: wed heard on the DL that the kolokithia zucchini chips are a must. Now trust me on this: the zucchini chips are a MUST. They adorned most tables like pretty floral arrangements & tasted just as beautiful. Saganaki is salty simplicity in grilled kefalograviera form. Then the most straightforward (dare I say basic) plating Ive ever seen delivered tender chicken souvlakia with indulgent, crispy skin. Wish wed had the budget, time & tummy space for more dishes – word on the street is the lamb shoulder rocks. Also would have been tempted by another vino had it been offered by our aloof server.Greek isnt instinctively go-to cuisine for me but happy to partake when led by others. Cutting through the flashy hype, Hellenika is still fun & yum.
