I will be looking for excuses to return to Wilde. The food was divine and the service friendly. An hour or two here is my idea of a great, lazy start to Sunday.Update: returned November 2018 and had a gluten free porridge which was very dry and bland. Disappointed.
Weve been here handfuls of times over the course of a year and never had a bad meal. Always delicious, very good prices and a large selection to choose from. Ordered everything from paleo pork burrito (my favourite theyre incredible!) to the paleo fried chicken. From smoothies to the collagen panna cotta. There are a lot of cafes in the area and weve tried many, but this is the only one we frequently return to. Not because its healthy but because they make interesting and very tasty meals.
Living extremely close to this spot is very handy, I can always guarantee a tasty take away salad and coffee to go when I’m rushing to work! The salad boxes to go are so generous that I usually have 2 days worth too. I’ve had plenty of delicious brunches too; particularly loves the salmon and Wilde Kitchen are to blame for my obsession with roast pumpkin with cumin/spices. Service can take a while but park up outside and people watch!
This place has a lot of potential and can really grow but the two main limiting factors are 1. Lack of consistency of product (the same dish comes out differently every time, which can be infuriating) and 2. Haphazard service (you can be totally forgotten if you are sitting outside and there are always dirty dishes on vacant tables). The food is great, so it’s a shame that these problems are not bedded down.
I wanted to like this place but theyve lost me for good. First time I ordered food here I ended up with a dead fly half submerged in my breakfast. On two occasions they forgot part of my order and on the second occasion offered no apology at all. I find a number of the staff quite rude and not very friendly at all. The coffee is average. Its so disappointing because it has the potential to be great but at the end of the day its not run well at all.
UBER EATS DELIVERY.I’m disappointed – my meal had the potential to be rated a 3.5. It was tasty and healthy. The reason why I’ve dropped the rating is because I paid an extra $2.50 for rice which I didn’t get. I’m aware it isn’t a lot – but when you order uber eats and pay the delivery fee of $5.00 – it adds up to to $7.50… my salmon on veggies costed $18.50 so with the delivery fee and rice I paid $25.50 for a piece of salmon on veggies… lol…so it would have been nice to get the full meal and that extra tummy fill.
A nice spot for brunch if you follow the paleo diet. For those of us who don’t interpreting the menu can be difficult. The coffee wasn’t that great.
