The let-down experience of meat pie at Daylesford reminds me the episode that I had the Chicken and Satay Pie at Pie Time near the Brisbane Market. Indeed, I had the same marvelous experience of having a Mushroom & Steak Pie at its sibling store in Coopers Plain a while back. I missed this pie (Chicken Satay was the pie of the month) last time so I ordered it at this store. The flaky pie top was a good start but the hero was the taste inside. It was so juicy with touch of Thai taste and the chicken was tender and filled so full, which seemed that the ingredients were supporting the shape of the whole pie. In addition, I have to mention about the coffee. They are serving the brew of Fonzie Abbott which I have missed for couple of months since I had it at Hamilton last time.
