To say that we were pleasantly surprised would be a gross understatement.Each dish was beautifully presented and fresh flavors succeeded to satisfy.Prices are so very resonable and value is cemented by both chef Tony’s cusine and his staffs friendly service.Looking forward to joining you again.Well done.
I really enjoyed the quality of food and how the staff and chefs were happy to appease my food allergies. The chicken breast – delicious! And bugs on thursday is one of my favourite nights. The wait staff are always so friendly and we love coming here to have a night out away from cooking and cleaning. I also like the healthier low carb options as well. Thanks Tony
One appalling meal I will never get back. First of all don’t trust the misleading advertising. Absolutely the worst meal I have ever eaten- upon seeing the sign advertising grilled bugs I ordered two serves only to be told that I was lucky to have one of the last orders of the night. The waitress brought our food to the table she told us ‘you’re getting double serves tonight, don’t tell anyone!’ This obviously meant that they would charge us double per meal as they charged approximately $100 for two meals. The bugs were evidently frozen and not worth the $50 each!!!We were told to pay for wine in cash while I sat opposite a row of pokies next too a woman in thongs. Children ran around our table in pajamas and the atmosphere was as atrocious as our food and service.WILL NEVER GO BACKDONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID WOULD RATE 0 IF I COULD
Similar to Harrys Diner at Paddington. I queing next to the pokes room to get the best available table in an empty restaurant. I’d recommend to someone I hated.
Disappointed – again. We (2 people) are locals and tried Zegatos 3 times in the last years there was always an issue with the timing, where food for one table did not get served together but with big time gaps in between.We went there 2 weeks ago on Friday, half of the restaurant was full, the waitresses seemed a bit chaotic & running around. The front of the house seated us, the girls did not bring the menus, so the head of the house brought them 10 minutes later. Usually one has to order drinks at the bar and pay in cash (awkward as meals can be paid with EFTPOS), this time one girl did table service for drinks still cash only.) We ordered our meals – and waited and waited. Several parties who arrived after us received their meals and 1 party even left before we even got a meal. After a wait of 40 minutes we checked with the head of the house who advised that the meals will be out shortly. After a wait of a further 10 minutes, 1 meal came and after about 5 minutes hubby queried about his meal answer there was a stuff up with the meals so his meal was not even being prepared. So hubby decided that after nearly an hour wait he did no longer want anything as he was angry and no longer hungry. So I ate my meal while he had to watch! Several guests who arrived after us were waiting for a very long time as well and were getting restless. Another table of 4 got their meals about 5 minutes apart from each other so the first person was finished with their meal when the last one got theirs. This table also needed 3 attempts to get the attention of a waitress as the potato mash was apparently inedible. My meal was ok but overprized (steak and chips for $36.00). The head of the house offered a discount and his apologies but what was supposed a nice relaxed evening with a dinner for TWO was ruined. Shame we like to support the local businesses but unless Zegatos gets their act together we will not be back.
The deck area has a lovely view (of the golf course), but the passive smoking renders the eating area quite unpleasant. Limited menu, overpriced. Would probably be very nice for large gatherings where the level of ambient noise was not a deterrent.We ordered a pizza – very very basic. Would have been hard to pick from frozen/mass produced.
Best food in Brisbane!!. Best steak and amazing service 10/10
