What happened? My wife and I used to come almost weekly for the chicken parmy special- which was good value. Tonight we found out the promotion was over which was all good, I still had my parmy and the wife still had her schnitzel and gravy. Considering it’s now full price, it’s strange that the salad is about a third of the original size, and the chips about half the old serving. Not to mention being soggy and completely cold. The wife’s gravy was stone cold and too salty to eat. We only ate the meals because we were hungry .On top they also got rid of the $5 beer special that they had forever.Very disappointed , our regular dinner venue will now have to be changed.
Don’t go near the seniors meals. Although yes, they are cheap, they don’t size up at all. Rissoles are 1 x rissoles and a small scoop of potato, fish and chips, well was a small piece of fish and 6 x chips.Yes, cheap however I would be happy to pay another dollar for a decent size of sides.
Chicken Parma is a must. They’ve nailed it! Steak sandwich is good too. I do find some of the menu a little expensive considering its a pub grub, Woolies at that. Give it a go though, it can be very good. I’ll be back….
I was extremely disappointed with the service that was provided. I paid $20 and waited up to an hour to receive a chicken schnitzel that you would find at Woolworths in the home brand section for $2 each. It tasted like it had been shoved in the microwave for a couple of minutes, then slapped on the plate. I literally just ate the chips and gravy the whole night. However, this was not as big of a disappointment as my brothers meal. He had a seafood meal with barely cooked calamari and prawns with so much preservatives in them he didn’t know what he was eating. Due to the amount of preservatives in the prawns my brother had no idea what he was eating and had a serious allergic reaction that night with rashes and hives all along his body and a swelled tongue and lips. I think that the only way someone could have a positive experience at this tavern is if they just want to sit down with a beer and watch the football because at least then they won’t get sick and ripped off. I can’t give an honest rating for the meal I received because it won’t let me score less than a 1.
Lost our order. As titled it was a terrible experience. We have been here 3 x dozen times. Years ago under other proprietary ownership it was amazing and had pride in itself as an establishment. We on this night were with my inlaws so 2 bills on one table. My inlaws got there food in a respectful amount of time it was 10 minutes later when we had to ask where our meals were that the issue arose. 35 minutes later I’ve waited over an hour for my meal. They gave us deserts and coffees as well a $50 voucher. But to be honest I’m a bakery, this was a night I had to work. I was disgusted in the service, the voucher went in the bin I won’t return there.
Just another within the Woolworths owned ALH chain that serves poor quality food and service to match. Don’t bother.
Just another Woolworths owned hotel. Like 150 of them in south east Queensland. Yuk. I wouldn’t let my dog eat at Belmont Tavern. Veal schnitzel stack was revolting.
