Let me start off by Saying that i was a massive Fan of the old Mariosarti, and was absolutely gutted to see them close. It was my go to Italian with my Partner, and we would go there for a casual meal, for birthdays and even anniversaries.Boy was i glad to see Barolos open, a facelift version of the classic which we loved so much! And it was even better to walk in and see some of the familiar and friendly faces that helped us have many awesome nights in the past.First things first, check the wine menu and pray that they still have the Rusden Good Shepherd Malbec! (one of my favourite wines, and only sold in a select few places around Brisbane) Yaaaaaassssss! They got it! Things are going well. Leave the Bottle 😉 ($70/bottle)Entree next, we shared the Arancini Balls and sipped on the beautiful full-bodied red wine. The arancini is served with a chilli jam, and aioli. The price reflects the quality at $18.90. It is not just a cheap starter, it is quite filling and you can really taste the quality. Our favourite dish’s were still on the menu, with the addition of a new and improved variety of Steaks! My Partner maintains that Mariosarti did one of the nicest steaks around, and he was grinning from ear to ear when he ordered the 500g Wagyu Rib FIllet and slid his knife through it to see it perfectly cooked medium rare, the way he likes it. He claims it is even better than what it used to be. I am not much of a steak eater myself, but i had a taste and it was really tender and juicy and seemed to be of a higher quality of steak than i had previously had. Steak was $49.90I went for the Seafood Marinara, as it was my favourite dish from before and again i was impressed. Moreton Bay Bugs, Scallops, King Prawns, and squid with a hint of chilli and garlic. It was just as fresh and flavoursome as before, and was such a treat when accompanied with the Rusden wine. $34.90.Overall its probably the best restaurant experience we have had this year!It will be my birthday in a few months, and i intend on hiring out the function room in the back, its absolutely bad-ass and perfect for a small party.Thank you for the awesome experience Barolos! Great to have you guys back! 🙂

Came with high expectations, all of them were met and some were even exceeded. First of all the service is absolutely excellent the staff are extremely professional. Secondly the food is amazing. The flavors that they managed to get into every dish I tried were heavenly. I was there with a party of friends and tried multiple dishes. They were all seasoned beautifully and tasted truly of dishes from a high calibre restaurant. The entree was rich and silky, packed full of flavors of the sea. Delicious and warm the perfect teaser for what was to come. The main was fair to say, unforgettable. The steak was tender, juicy, well seasoned, melt in your mouth deliciousness. One of the best steaks Ive ever had. The quality of the produce shone through and highlighted the flavors of the Rusden good sheppard Malbec which paired beautifully. The steak sat atop a creamy, fluffy pillow of truffle mash which tied the dish together in to one amazing experience that I cannot speak highly of enough. Highly highly recommend.

We were invited to dine at Barolos one Saturday evening and brought along our two little people. Staff were so incredibly helpful, finding us a table so we’d be out of the way with our pram yet still comfortable. We started with a tasting plate which included arancini, calamari, olives, bread, fried mozzarella, a selection of cold meats, octopus, scallops and sun dried tomatoes. My favourites were the cheese (I mean, fried cheese, what’s better than that?!) which came with lemon and smoked salt – a delicious combination. I also loved the arancini, they were packed full of flavour, and also the calamari. I am not the hugest seafood fan and rarely enjoy calamari but this stuff was melt in your mouth, not at all chewy and perfectly cooked – hats off to the chef!We managed to try (and finish!) everything, meaning I was already quite full before mains came out. These took a little longer to arrive which normally wouldn’t bother me as it means having a break between courses, however as we had our two children with us, it meant we were a tad rushed and weren’t able to stay for dessert. For mains, I chose the pork belly dish. It was really delicious and a very generous portion however in hindsight, with the large entree we had, I think a lighter main would have been better. Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly, it’s one of my favourite dishes to have at restaurants and this one was great. My husband also really enjoyed his seafood marinara, the pasta was wonderful, as you’d expect from an Italian restaurant. We both had some red wine from Troll Creek, such a great wine and the perfect accompaniment to dinner as it wasn’t too heavy and worked well with our meals, thank you to our server for his recommendation on this one. You can tell the chef and owners really care about their customers as there were many diners, even early on Saturday evening, in this little neighbourhood gem. There is also a private dining room out the back of the restaurant which would be wonderful for parties or special celebrations. Food is terrific, very authentic, delicious Italian food and service was warm and friendly. I’m disappointed we didn’t get to stay around for dessert as Italian desserts are some of my favourites, but that’s life with two young kids! Thank you so much to the team for having us, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, were well looked after and will definitely be recommending you to friends and family. Fed well by the team here, Carrie and Giustino knows their things!!! You really just need to relax and they will be able to pick anything for you. Perfect place to go on first date, celebration (cause they got a little gem room for private function) and even family friendly!!!

Fantastico! Our evening started with lovely service from Giustino and their superb wine list. Even if you’re not a wine buff, Giustino has a wonderful ability to listen and recommend a wine that will suit your taste, my wife was very impressed with the slightly sweet and light body of the Rockford White Frontignac – thank you Giustino! For our entree, the standouts were the arancini and antipasti – even my little daughter enjoyed the wide range of flavor on offer here. The big stand out main dish would have to be the Marinara pasta, this is one my all time favorite foods and Barolos version could be the very best of the best, magnificent 🙂
