Hands up for those who love brunch?! Me, hehe.I have heard a lot about this place so I was pretty excited when I got a chance to see what the hype was about. Firstly, the atmosphere of the cafe was quite pleasant, staff were friendly and the coffee is decent. The outdoor arrangements is quite spacious, however, I have seen struggles from parents navigating their pram through the cafe (will be tight on a busy day).Food we ordered – smashed avocado w/added bacon and sweet potato waffles.Personally, I don’t think any cafe can get smashed avocado wrong, so the dish was enjoyable. Unfortunately the sweet potato waffle was not, I found the waffle tasted a bit bitter and dry, and because of this – the flavour didn’t marry well together with the savoury mince on top. We tried the meal without the waffle, the flavours worked great with the poached egg and mince. We will be back to try other dishes.See you soon Corner Store Cafe.
Tried this 2 months ago and finally got this cafe checkedSituated in Toowong, a lot of my friends had quite positive feedbacks on this cafe so I decided to bring my friends here and try it out!Egg itself was not the creamy scrambled eggs you would expect its more of the type of eggs that you experience the crispiness and its more a more well done egg A thing I liked about the cafe was the pine nuts sprinkled on top of the eggs and food in general was warm enough Also need to mention the nice ambiance with attentive staff just that theres a little walk to the cafe if you are not driving One more of the bucket lists of brunch spot checked
