Nowadays sushi has become popular that we could see sushi shops everywhere. Personally I like sushi for the fact that they are healthy, easy to eat and I could get to see and choose what I would like. Sushi a paradise at Toowong Village was one of the sushi shops where their sushi was not bad but not above average. This shop provided a great variety of sushi and other hot food dishes in affordable prices. Their sushi got a good balance of rice and fillings, but the rice could have had a little more taste. My favourites were the spicy fresh tuna, the seaweed and tofu, and the mushroom. Liked that soy sauce and wasabi sachets, takeaway cutleries and napkins were provided at the counter.
Just what we needed. Another sushi place in Toowong. Kidding- it’s really good. It’s heavy on filling with less rice and has great flavour combos. Little bit sad the fried fish roll has disappeared but the spicy prawn is delicious. Total bang for buck too
This is the go-to place for sushi rolls at The Village. By far the busiest in the shopping centre with the work lunch crowd so the sushi tends to have high turnover meaning they are mostly very fresh. $4.50 for cup size meals is also very good value.
Well presented and varied sushi rolls. The service is odd/ you order at one counter then have to wander around the corner to a different counter to pay. This is also where you order the hot food but it gets collected at yet another counter! The hot dishes are available in two sizes- cone fresh and warm. The sushi rolls are nice enough but taste a little sweet- I suspect a heavy hand with the mayonnaise. Good to stop by and grab a snack and well priced
The sushi was very average and was smaller then most I have had. The service was good but when I was halfway home I decided I was going to have a sushi. What I found was not what I ordered. Two out of the three types of sushi I ordered were not what I asked for. I went back as I had spent a lot of money on them and the staff apologised greatly. What horrified me though was that they put my returned, unrefrigerated sushi out to serve again! I could have done anything to this sushi. Seafood can not be left out long before it goes off and I had had it for at least half an hour! I am never eating here again. Unless you want to get food poisoning and a possible hospital trip I advise you not to eat here either. Sushi Paradise? More like sushi hell with the potential to get seriously ill.
Just like any other take away sushi. The sushi is not bad but not outstanding. The one thing I noticed though is that the sushi size is smaller than the regular sized takeaway sushi (shorter). They have a special buy 2 get 3rd free after the lunch rush or close to the shops closing.
