Deja brewIt’s my second time at The Brewery and I’m nursing an eight beer paddle and opt for the Duck Wontons with Singapore Sauce. The wontons are promptly delivered after I sit down and after slaking my thirst I bite down. The wontons, served on bed of rocket, are crisp and shatter pleasingly in the mouth revealing a fragrant cavity of duck mince. Dipped in the sauce it has a tangy hint of sweet soy and ginger which lingers. With eight brews at my disposal I would opt for the diggers golden or the ipswich pale ale from four hearts brewing. Bon Apptit.

    Good food but very loud!

Waited 15mins for a table on a busy Friday night after trying to book dinner for two by phone.Manager admitted he couldn’t hear the phone in loud atmosphere. Was treated to a nice booth, friendly service, quality food and pleasant dining environment.I ordered the gnocchi and my partner had a 300g steak with a side of buttered greens.Prices are at the higher end for size (particularly for steak) but meals were quality. Gnocchi only had 13 pieces but were generous sizes. Cooked more thoroughly on one side than the other.Enjoy the beer selection and had a schooner with my meal.

Really like the building. They have used the old post office. Beers are very good. I tried the pots in the Ned Red, Belgian Blonde and a Desperado. I like stout style beers so the Ned Red was tried in a schooner, I couldn’t help myself. The 700g slow cooked ribs with crispy skin potato ( with skin) is very good. Don’t try to fit in entree as it’s a big meal. Really good attitude and service from staff.

Shocking service! $50 min eftpos!?. Wow, some friends and I popped in, to have a quick drink on the way to dinner. Upon presentation of our round, I offered to pay with my eftpos card; I was promptly told their new rules, $50 eftpos minimum!? Wtf?! Start a tab, I was told. We were there for the one drink? After a shocking berate from some bossy girl, she sorted a deal with her manager that I pay an extra $2.50 for the privilege of exceeding their minimum limit. Very offended, we left eagerly. Saying that, there seasonal beers are great, especially the Darstidly Deeds IPA, as was the Oktoberfest wheat beer. Heads up Brewery, it’s 2014!?

Wine selection poor. Beer is their thing rather than wine. Ambience is great. Food not bad, but not quite up to the setting. Likewise the service. No need to leave a tip.
