Having arrived in Townsville a little over a week ago we were excited to find this neat place with a fantastic view. Great food, friendly and prompt service and a cool sea breeze to top it all off. Will definitely be back!
What would I like to say abou c bar that hasn’t been said before? It’s all been said before except for the fact that it’s the least catchy name this side of simply tops. Well the service was very slow, the food was just middling but the location, view and overall value almost made up for it’s ample short comings. A resounding average!
Terrible Service. Waited over an hour for meals.. Went to C Bar for breakfast on Sunday morning. The service was appalling! We arrived at 9:45am, the lady asked us to follow her for a seat and then after we were put at a dirty table she tended to the other customers waiting to come in, got them menus and water and never came around to us. About 10 minutes later another lady came to clear the table and we informed her that we hadn’t been given menus.She came back with menus, but then did not come to take our order for at least another 10 minutes.When we finally got a chance to order, we ordered 2 iced chocolates which tasted as if the milk was off. We enquired with staff who confirmed it tasted funny.After getting our drinks we didn’t see a single staff member come to our table for over an hour.Tables that had come in after us had already eaten and left.Our meals finally came out at 11:10am. The staff member handing our meals out gave a very snide apology when we told her we’d been waiting over an hour. To top it all off, we still had to pay for the drinks that tasted like they had off milk in them.Overall, nice food and view, but definitely the worst service i’ve ever experienced at a restaurant.I’ve been a regular visitor at C Bar, but won’t be returning again after that experience. 1 star.
User reviews. Views to the island and the water are good. The service for a small amount of people was quick. The burger and chips were ordinary and over priced. Won’t see me back soon.Magnus.
Fantastic views at a great location. The food is alright, but I always find myself a little disappointed. The staff are friendly enough but generally seem to be flying by the seat of their pants. The place has a lot of potential – I hope one day it lives up to that potential!
I eat here regularly for breakfast and lunch and have never been disappointed. Service is generally good, the view of Maggie is stunning and the food tasty. Bircher muesli particularly delicious although the serving size could probably feed 3!
