Steaks, Fish, Pork, Chicken, Lamb, Duck. The average price of each meal is around $30 with the exception of the Caesar salad ($16) plus extra for chicken. The 250g MSA rump is serviced with a choice of mash potato and vegetables or chips and salad, and the price includes a choice of sauces. I chose the chips and salad with my beef. The salad comes with a tasty dressing and consists of salad greens, tomato, olives, Bulgarian feta, cucumber and red onions, Compared to some other restaurants it’s a refreshing change to see it offered as part of the meal, rather than as an extra cost. For a Saturday night after Christmas the restaurant wasn’t busy. The waiters were polite and tentative and the meals served very quickly. The pork knuckle is one of the most talked about meals and compares very favourably with a similar dish served at the German Club at Woolongabba in Brisbane. Overall the restaurant is of a good quality and worth visiting again.
What a great night! I booked a table for a party of 13 for my husband’s birthday & we all had a fantastic night. The table was set beautifully. Upon arrival we were immediately seen to for drinks and one all our party had arrived, ordered our food. The entree did take a bit longer than we would’ve expected but otherwise the service was great & meals were delicious. We were also free to bring in our own cake which the waiter took to set up candles, supplied plates, spoons etc all without charging a cakage fee. Perfect
Cannot comment on the food as was turned away after making reservation! Was spoken to horribly and told we didnt have a booking. We did, as I discussed opening times and where we wanted to sit. Your mature rude arrogant lady treated us like we were lying. Customer Service terrible learn how to treat people.
Great Desserts & Service. My husband and I stopped in while looking for somewhere for dessert along Palmer St. The menu had a good variety of desserts. We were treated to great, friendly service and delicious desserts. We tried the double choc flourless brownie and special for the evening, peanut butter mousse. Both desserts looked amazing too.Hope to be back for dinner on our next Townsville visit as the menu looked good.
Had dessert here. Meringue and Double Choc brownie dishes were both enjoyable. Meringue could have had more meringue (more crispy/cooked too) and then it wouldn’t have been so cream focused particularly between the layers of the tower. Voluble Choc brownie was more cake like than brownie like but sauce, warmth and texture made it a delicious treat.Service was friendly and booth was nice to sit in.
Yum O. Dined here recently, enjoyed the pork knuckle, and my date the Ravioli. Such taste. Would Reccomened
Not So Good. Looked forward to great experience in a tropical town in the wet. Of our party, 2 had steak which was well cooked but of poor quality and tough. Bug entre was deep fried and very poor. Our 2nd drinks order never came and we were asked again by another waiter and we eventually got them. Has potential but need a new chef, better produce and better staff.
