cozy place, comfy seats, warm staff. waiting for the food at the moment. thinking of the big serving size, i just ordered a main dish. will upload review in a bit.
Extremely good service, excellent food and reasonable prices for a high end restaurant. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out
I dined here while visiting Townsville for a workshop and I was incredibly impressed. Better than some restaurants back home, the food was fine dining quality without the horrendous price tag. I had two entrees, a salad and a dessert (because I prefer to try everything rather than choose one big plate!) and I would find it hard to choose a favourite between them. The service was great and I was particularly delighted with how I wasn’t met with the unnerving sympathy one can receive at times when dining alone. Surprisingly cosy despite being situated on a main street, I would have no hesitations in returning!
I booked a table online for a second date, as I’d heard good reviews from friends. I added a request that we not be seated near a window so that my ne’er-do-well housemates wouldn’t make a scene as they staggered past the restaurant en route home from the pub. The maitre d’ called in the afternoon to explain that the online booking system had automatically assigned us a table outside, much to my disappointment!I shouldn’t have worried though! Upon arrival the maitre d’ had worked a cunning plan to seat us in a booth inside, so we refreshed ourselves with a delicious cocktail at the bar while we waited for the previous guests to leave.Once seated, the service and attention was excellent and our meals arrived at the perfect interval between drinks. The food was delicious and wine selection was very good.An excellent evening for the two of us! Oh, and yes the date went very well too!
This restaurant is now called Seasoned.Crab arancini balls are great and the braised kangaroo was fantastic! The meat literally fell apart, the compliments on the dish really brought out the deeper flavours of the kangaroo. I don’t want to overtook a large shining point: the cocktails, they are superb and very original, a culinary treat in of themselves!
Service was average upon paying, man was tired and had forgotten what I was there for.$4 for tea that I had to make myself was a bit a poor.Otherwise staff were friendly and environment was fine.
