It wasn’t a first time for me to eat a steak sandwich with beetroot in it but I definitely enjoy when I get the chance. I just thought the service was a bit slow at the time since it was packed and we had to sit outside. Other than that and a few seagulls flocking around our table, it was a good place to hang out and eat.
We had been there simply coz it was on the strand. We ordered chicken wings and fries. The waitress at the bistro counter was helpful and nice. The chicken wings had to be ordered in .5 or 1 kgs which is a bit odd. But anyways we went and collected the order. The wings come as not like the standard legs, wings piece but as a whole long wing piece which is difficult to eat. The wings tasted okay but the sizing of the piece makes it quite difficult and messy to eat.The place works like a factory with least attention from the waiters/waitresses. It was an okay place but nothing to write much about.
The Sea view hotel in Townsville tonight was the worst venue I have ever been to. I have never been kicked out from any venue and yet I was kicked out tonight because my son had a disagreement with a girl that decided she didn’t like us so she called security and the hammerheads number 158 and his boys were very nasty and threw us out. when we did nothing to warrent this. I will fight and put the Seaview in its place until I have been compensated for this nasty Townsville experience. I will also write to people all over the world to stay clear of this nasty place. The bouncer 158 had no right to do this and was just flexing his power. I will tell everyone about this nasty little spot. Thanks so much I need my money back for my meal, and I need $1000 in compensation for the nasty treatment by a nasty 158 abd others. It was a girls thatt did this we did nothing to them we only queried the menu. What a nasty horrible place.
Don’t eat here. After waiting an hour for cold food to be served and a meal that was forgotten then dished up raw. I suggest you think twice about eating here unless you want food poisioning
I took my son in to get out of the heat and get some lunch on a Saturday 14/12/13 about 1pm. I was greeted by a guy at the bar and he explained the menu and told me there was a bistro to order at to the left but if I wanted to I could order through him at the bar and he would organise it. I sat my son down and then ordered more than I had originally intended as I felt like the service was good and so could the food. This was a special day for me and my son out aloneand the seaview helped it be wonderful. We started with Ribs N Wings for entree which were super tasty and tender. Then my son had the $8.50 kids menu steak which was cooked to my requested med rare and was better than a $30 steak elsewhere. I had the lemon pepper squid which was both tender and fresh. All salads served were fresh and chips crispy. Over all I thank the waitress and barman who welcomed us and made a lunch a great experience for us. Not to forget the chef…..well done.
Overpriced and not that good a steak. I’ll not go back
The food was reasonable. Paid an extra $5 on top of $22.50 for a side salad with my main, and it was tiny. Overall happy, but I expect more than a few pieces of dressed salad when I order a side salad. But I’m picky! Staff were good, and my battered fish was pretty good!
