  I am 66 years old and I have to say that I had the worst pizzas in my life. I had the Castle Hill pizza that had different types of meat that were completely unidentifiable. The cheese was thick goo. My wife had the Ultimate Vego and that was inedible. We left most of it behind

  I couldnt wait to walk out of this place after lunch today so that I could get online to debrief about how terrible it was.I ordered a crumbled chicken burger. Let it be known, Ive eaten many of these before and I am no stranger to a good old fashioned piece of crumbed chicken / schnitzel or whatever you want to call it.When I collected my meal, the first thing I noticed was a small pool of oil next to my burger. I didnt think much of it at the time, until I noticed that the schnitzel was a little on the dark side and glistening. The pool of oil was from my oil soaked schnitzel dripping onto the plate. I cut my burger in half and realised that the schnitzel was soaked in oil. When I pushed down on the top of the burger, oil was leaching out of the meat. I ignored it and decided to take a bite – it tasted like oil. I couldnt eat it. I asked my partner to have a go – he agreed, it was soaked in oil.Only once in my life have I returned a meal, and today I decided to make it twice in my life, and I took the burger back to ask for something else instead.The girl behind the counter took my plate out to the kitchen, returning a few minutes later, offering for a refund or something else on the menu equal to $17.90. At this point in time, no interest in my complaint or apology has been offered. I took a look at the menu and asked if instead I could have the tropical pizza, which was $18.90. I offered to pay the additional $1.00, thinking that surely no business owner would take $1.00 from a customer complaining about their meal. Wow was I wrong. I was told she (I assume referring to the owner/chef) wants the extra $1.00). I was stunned but coughed it up.As I was about to return to my table to wait for my pizza, the girl then finished by saying just for future reference, all schnitzels here are fried in oil. Aside from the fact that Im not a dummy and have had many schnitzels in my time and Im aware theyre fried (and usually not dripping in nasty tasting oil), Ive just complained to you about a meal, youve taken $1.00 from me, and then finished off insulting me instead of apologising. My pizza arrived and it was equally as terrible as the burger. Soggy base, thick topping and tasteless. I should have taken the offer of a refund and called it a day. My partner said his chicken parma was alright if thats any consolation. Wont be going back here again and wont be recommending that others go here in future. At the end of the day I dont care so much about the lost money and terrible meal. Im most annoyed at the terrible response and bad attitude to a customer trying to make a reasonable complaint about an inedible meal that they paid good money for.
