Great steak. Service friendly and helpful if maybe inexperienced. Steak was great – cooked perfectly and presented simply. Sides were good as were accompaniments – nice homemade spicy tomato chutney for one. A bit limited on entre and desert selections.
Second disappointing visit. Dined on Saturday night with friends. Our drink and food order was taking promptly but that’s where my positive experience ended. Ordered the garlic bread to share with one friend, there were only 3 small over toasted pieces on the plate. Had the entree scallops also, had to send it back as one was raw. They replaced the raw one but I didn’t get it until the rest of my meal with finished. It was also a very salty dish.

Smelt like ammonia, meat was dark, didn’t look right. After eating the skin had to send it back and go up the road. The chef insisted fish was fresh. Maybe he / she doesn’t check the product because it was old and smelly. Big thumbs down.
Service was excellent the staff really cared and catered to our sons allergies, which we find is a rarity at many restaurants. The food was well above our expectations, we had prepared ourselves for an overpriced because its connected to a hotel meal but the food really was sensational, we had death by angus, and I’d probably skip that and get a whole steak as the steak portion of the meal was phenomenal. The chicken with risotto my wife had was also excellent. Overall highly recommended particularly of you are a member of Rydges and get 20% of your bill.
