Totally enjoyed Beef and Reef, although it’s quite a big meal I was able to finish it. My husband chose this meal for me I think when I was taking too long to decide what I want LOL. Anyway, seafood was fresh and tasty, loved the prawns. Steak was perfect, however I always want my steak well done, but it was still amazing, and the chips was light and crispy just the way I like it. Very romantic if you come here at night but I would definitely enjoy dining there during day time too and see the beautiful view by the deck.

a nice place to have a glass of wine. they have moscato by tap! they have a function room and nice outside seats with a view of the yachts. the staff was friendly and non-members are very welcome to dine.

Great spot for a Sunday lunch and many drinks. Service was nice and friendly. Seafood platter for 2 was very generous and unfortunately we couldn’t make it through all of it but thoroughly enjoyed it but maybe 1 more dipping sauce would be good.

Came for a dinner with 10 and food was quick and menu was convenient for everyone. I had the vegetable stir-fry with a side of wedges which was actually quite nice. Sweet chilli sauce with wedges was so sweet though. Ended up just eating the wedges plain!Nothing too special. Kinda just an average night out

Steve – happy diner. I must have gone to a different Yacht club than your other two reviewers. My first visit and it was Sydney-Hobart race day so it was quite busy. My meal arrived 15 minutes after we ordered and three main meals totalled $48. I thought my garlic prawns were well above average but my friend shared her salt and pepper calamari and that was perfection. TYC gets a big thumbs up from me and I will be joining as a member – oh, and the second bonus – no pokies

Have always enjoyed visiting the Townsville yacht club, however our last visit was very disappointing. Waited about an hour for our lunch (granted it was busy). The meals were very ordinary – deep fried fare – which left everyone feeling slightly bilious for the rest of the afternoon. Plates were chipped and cracked and jug from the bar was also cracked and leaked all over the table. Used to be a pleasant place to go for lunch or dinner but I would not be in a hurry to return.

Townsville yacht club. Great location, BUT they should get a new Chef. Also overpriced! get your act together and realise that we Aussies are more discerning than before, then you are on a winner
