Very good vegetarian pizza. The base was thin and crispy with quality toppings. Garlic bread was also terrific; a ciabatta bread dipped in butter and a generous amount of garlic. I’d recommend sticking to their pizzas, as I hear the pasta is not made from scratch, and I don’t think Chiantti’s is considered top notch, authentic Italian. Service was okay, although a little slow.
Great location across the road from the beach. Has a nice atmosphere, service is very attentive, menu provides lots of options and the quality of the food was very good. We had meatballs, capriciosa and pollo pasta – great serves, pizza base is thin and the size of a family pizza.
We ordered drinks and food soon after being seated. After about 30 minutes we still had not received our drinks and had to follow up. It was pretty obvious that if you’re a local you receive preferential treatment. The mains arrived and the order was wrong but decided just to eat it anyway because at that stage I was so hungry I couldn’t be bothered waiting!! The food was ok, a bit over priced.. Definitely not a good look when the bar staff are over having a smoke break hanging out with the locals and your sitting there waiting for drinks!!
We arrived later in the evening without a booking. They were happy to fit us in. Nice atmosphere and prime location. I ordered spaghetti meat balls. Absolutely delicious. Others in my party loved what they got. Generous servings. Ordered house Shiraz and it was of good quality. Our young waitress was helpful and attentive. Prices very reasonable for such a prime location. My favorite place in Trinity. Loved it
Food is alright, reasonably priced. Got take away a couple weeks ago, said it would take 20min, actually took 45min! Waiting in the heat with very few updates about what’s taking so long
Let me start with the good stuff first: location is absolutely gorgeous and it’s a nice family atmosphere in the restaurant. Meals are good value and food is fine although not a wow factor. However… Service is atrocious. Our waitress (with dreadlocks) was more interested in hanging out chatting with some friends of hers that were dining as well. She never asked us how our meals were and was boarder line plain rude. Our starter came out with missing sauce. We had to ask for it only for the plate to be whisked away and later re-appear with sauce. No apology. A better way of handling it would have been to put sauce in a small bowl and bring out to us… Mains were fine, my dish was very oily but good flavour. Carbonara was average. Prices are good, but don’t bother looking at the webpage as prices there are incorrect. Also – some of the waitresses are dressed as if they are going to the gym.I get that this is laid back FNQ but tank tops and lycra pants are possibly not the most appropriate work wear for a restaurant.
Service was rubbish, however the pizza was great! The early bird special is also good value. Try to ignore the grumpy staff and just enjoy the food and the view!
