Ordered pasta trio for 2 for $55. Portions tiny and the packaged (not homemade) pasta certainly does not justify price. Long black hair in the chorizo penne. Ingredients fresh, but spring onion used throughout dishes(!?). Excuse was: They just changed their presentation from large plate to bowls & maybe need to tweak the portions. Owner did not offer rebate & still charged full price.
Appalling coffee. Bitter, sour and acidic. Just wasted 5 dollars. Was lured in by memories of Italy and the fine coffee tradition. My brain said to try the place further up the road but the heart made the choice. Must have been the romance of the waves crashing in the background that caught me off guard!
Be aware. As a local, I have to let you know value isnt there even for a fresh juice. Took a visitor to Fratellis ordered a fresh juice, unfortunately the smallest fresh juice for $7 + $1 for adding ginger. It was like a 200ml (7 oz) glass possibly even smaller. Never seen a fresh juice served in such a small glass packed with ice. Approached an Italian gentleman behind the counter making the drinks surely he used the wrong glass. No, and he didnt seem to care or want to rectify fairly.Shame, it is a great location wont be taking / referring anymore of visitors there again.
Dreadful place poor service no compensation for the long excessive wait despite being restaurant being quiet. Should have taken the hint and not bothered with this place there are far nicer restaurants in Trinity Beach. Thank goodness we suggested that our party go ahead and eat their food otherwise it would have been cold by the time all 4 meals arrived.
Italian dining with Australian people near a beach in North Queensland. An interesting mix and one that has happened. Don’t argue! If this is a restaurant for you then it’s something to eat. Meatballs are a menu item and so is juice.
Easy dining in Trinity. This joint has had a recent makeover and is now much more comfortable and spacious. The menu is good and you can bring your own wine if required. The staff were friendly. Easy dining along Trinity Beach and a nice walk back to Vue apartments
Terrible hot drinks and service. Instead of buying hot drinks at our usual Trinity Beach Bar & Grill while walking the dogs, we decided to give Fratelli a try. What a waste of money! What we got was luke warm sickeningly sweet Chai latte and dishwater cappuccino with no flavour. When I took my wife’s Chai back to complain, the owner/manager (?) laughed and joked about my complaint while making a new one. Never did he apologize or seem the slightest bit concerned we had inferior products and experience with his place. I will never recommend this joint.
