Went for a family breakfast before the in-laws had to fly out. We loved the location and the vibe started off great . Unfortunately for us our experience wasnt the best. The waitress was rather rude when one of us modified a breakfast to suit dietary needs – she rolled her eyes and was quite abrupt. The drinks we received were good and came out promptly. However, several tables that arrived after us got their food before us, even though we ordered three bacon and egg rolls and one avocado on toast – a fairly easy order. We ended up waiting over an hour before we said anything to the wait staff and unfortunately, by then we had to rush off to the airport. The cafe was not overly busy when we arrived so we kept hoping our food wasnt far away. One staff member was kind enough to offer a refund as our food was not even close to being done. However one staff member was almost insistent that it would be out soon, although we could see that the eggs had only just been cracked. The food that the other tables got looked like they wouldve been delicious.
Went with 2 friends and wife, had pasta, fish of the day and a garlic bread with white wine. All was really nice, waiter (and owner?) Gave us a good spiel on the white wine and directed our attention to a beautiful sunset (really nice and passionate guy), meal was really tasty and will definately return when back in cairns. Great work.
Coming back after an excellent visit a year earlier, something was not right this time. On a busy night during school holidays, the kitchen staff were completely overwhelmed and were unable to meet orders fast enough, leaving our kids (and us adults) quite hungry for too long. While the staff tried to explain it was unusual to be so busy, and apologised several times, it was just too much – it was peak season after all so shouldnt be a surprise. If it is quiet here then try it, as the meals were tasty, but if it is busy I would reconsider.
We went to this place twice for dinner during our 7 day stay in in cairns. We tried the pizza and the pastas which were made with great ingredients, you could tell the sauces were home made. The customer service was outstanding, the owner Aldo, interacts with all the customers to advise on food choices and wines which makes this place feels like you are at ALDO’s house for dinner. The waitress were bubbly and chatty and couldn’t do enough for you.Looking around we only saw customers having a great time and enjoying their food.Great place…..
Excellent seafood pasta with beautiful view of trinity beach. Highly recommended restaurant. Family friendly.. kids loved their bolognese pasta too!
Meh. Not terrible, but not amazing either. The bruchetta was more like onion bread, the lamb dinner special was so small we had to hold back laughter when it was served. On the upside they had lots of gluten free options and the side salad was generous. Overall not worth repeating or good value, but if you were staying in Trinity Beach and had money to blow, its in good walking distance to everything.
