Found this restaurant by accident with my partner. We were meant to go to the sushi train across from it but that place was too full. Glad We found this place highly recommend if you are into noodle soup! Love a fried pork in pork stock with ramen. Also the cheesy sausages on the side and fried gyoza

Akai Ushi is a new restaurant in Springwood having only been open for 3 months. I ordered the Laksa fusion noodle soup with vegetarian stock and WOW delicious. Smooth and spicy with lots of fried tofu bean sprouts and both hokkien and vermicelli noodles. A big bowl full for $11.90 an absolute bargain and extremely delicious. Thanks very much. SARDS.

Located in Underwood shopping complex to near wokawoka, this place caught my eye when I went there last time.Seemed the shop is still new as touchpad menu was not installed yet.Ordered Wagyu cutlet curry rice ($14.90) and my partner ordered signature dish:Borscht with sliced Wagyu beef ($11.90). Oh and to add curry fish ball as ‘appetizer’. ($3)Interestingly you can choose your on base if you wish with 7 different soup base. One caught my eye was ‘Milky Lavender’ soup base but I was too afraid to try out this time You can also choose type of noodle from 8 choices which is a nice way to customise noodle to your liking. After ordering at the counter, food arrived fairly quickly.Curry fish ball we ordered as a side was okay.My curry tasted good with okay quality of beef considering the price.Noodle soup was too sweet for my liking but my partner liked big two slices of beef on top of noodle. This place is a great addition to ever expanding Underwood complex which is becoming a great dining options for Asian cuisine.Overall I would rate this place 3.5/5 and will probably try out again to check out other things on menu.

Nice noodle soup , a variety of noddles to choose from. The bbq pork is very tender and tasty. Laksa soup is my favorite so far. Great costumer service by the way.

Discovered this restaurant last Sunday when I explored the 24 hrs Yuen’s Farmer @ Underwood Market Shopping Centre. Gave it a go on last Thursday. They employ the self-ordering system at the counter so we took a seat, perused the menu then placed our flavourite dishes. We ordered the Tobiko Wonton noodles and choose the Ramen noodle (you can have choices of different types of noodles such as instant noodle, ramen udon, Hokkien, egg noodles etc.), a dish of Crumbed Wagyu Cutlet Curry Rice, which is very popular in Japan (we were told by the tour guide from our Tokyo trip last Easter holiday). In addition, we tried two otherextra side dishes of raw octopuswith wasabi and steamed sliced pig trotter. First came to the table was the Wonton noodle soup, Wonton is bigger than Zen Corner but the pastry was weaker. Loved that they served the broth very hot, which is always important to have noodle soup. Each Wonton is full of prawns, pork & crab roes. then the two small plates of side dishes came the next. For $3.00 each, I would say it is a good deal. They provide you the opportunities of trying more varieties without damage the stomach & the wallet, haha! By the way, taste of both dishes was good. Final dish came to the table was the Wagyu cutlet rice, which came in a large bowl. Huge piece of cutlet with med-rare Wagyu. Although the curry sauce was too thick, the curry taste was very close to what I had in Japan. For $14.90, it was a bargain. Overall, impression of this eatery was decent, I advise the other foodie to give it a go.

Really good food! Tasty and high quality. I order Laksa and some Pork Cutlet, very juicy!! But, if they can serve a bit more noodles I will mark 5 stars rated!!
