This was pretty nice Malaysian food and good portions, very quick service too. It couldve used a bit more spice, other places in Brisbane are doing these dishes a bit better but still this is a very good option if youre craving some laksa or fried noodles
Another little gem of an eatery, tucked away in Kuraby, very close to market square shopping centre and in amongst other quality Asian inspired restaurants, serving a decent selection of delicious Malaysian foods which is Well priced offering decent portions, friendly service and above all tasty food. With a better than expected vegetarian range. I have eaten here several times now and each time has been maintained at the same standard. This is great to see. Thanks. SARDS.
After Mama Malaya has been sold and temporary closed. I felt disappointed not until I had a dinner at this eatery. Has not been opened for a long time but business was immediately established. We ordered the prawn noodle and Hainan Chicken Rice. Both of the dishes are above average. Although the Hainan Chicken looks rustic, it reflects the authenticity. You must not miss to order the Teh Tarik and spring rolls, they are all good. Highly recommended.
We ordered a nasi lemak, laksa and a wa tan ho (fried hofun with the running egg sauce)they are all pretty nice! the laksa was mild spicy, and you gotta choose the types of noodles, I personally love both kinds (i.e. the vermicelli and the egg noodle). lovely soup base for the laksa.
