Friendly local sushi train, staff always courteous. Good pricing, especially the $2.80 deal on Sundays. Dishes apart from sushi quite nice too. Sushi are generally freshly made, but everything is drenched in overly sweet teriyaki sauce or mayo, hence my preference for non sushi dishes. They have a nice small kids playpen too, but they seem to have only one movie as we go almost weekly.
I have been here on a few occasions to give them a chance but sadly I wasnt impressed, the portion size is rather small compared to other restaurants, especially with the aburi, i had food poisoning however I cant say it was from this restaurant or if it was caused by me trying to force a number 2 , but it was the last meal I had before I became sick.I also went to this prior to the incident above in which myself and my friend ordered chicken rice meals for $10.50 thats when we both looked at each other and realised we were both screwed as we heard the microwave go beep beep beep and the sound of it running, not to long later our meals came, and yes the chicken was soggy from being reheated in the microwave, my friend and myself were the only ones in the restaurant at the time which made us wonder why they wouldnt just make it fresh. Wouldnt go here again.
extremely disgusted with the attitude of the receptionist and believe that having a $15 minimum to use your credit card is ABSOLUTELY REVOLTING. Can most surely say i will never be going back, and will not recommend it to any of my friendsHowever the sushi being $2 after 8pm is a good extra (Unfortunately paid full price at 8:30pm so idk about that anymore)
We went here on a whim a few months back and have been going weekly ever since. I love this place way better than sushi train. The food is great and way better priced than sushi train as all the train plates are the one price and even cheaper after 8pm and they dont skim on the quality. The staff are so friendly and lovely This was certainly a hidden gem on Logan road and I am so happy we found it.
We, a family of 5, dined here this evening and I was really impressed with the staff, the beautiful fresh and tasty food and family atmosphere. The train plates being all $3.50 was really great and there was a wide variety but you can also order from the sushi menu at the same price. We will be back 🙂
This neat little sushi train is situated in the middle of a road junction in the midst of a commercial area in Underwood. They offer a similar experience and pricing to Sushi Edo, except without the order taking ipad and the credit card surcharge. Ambience: clean and tidy. Comfort chairs than Sushi Edo. I liked that their music wasn’t too loud. Unfortunately, it was a really quiet time when I went so there was no atmosphere. Food: quite a solid effort on their part. Everything was very well done. No complaints there. I particularly liked their karaage, cuttlefish nigiri and the aburi scallop nigiri. Service: had to be proactive getting staff attention half the time to put orders in as the train didn’t have many things to choose from. That aside, I found the staff to be quite friendly and willing. Verdict: wish it were busier and the portion sizes a little bigger. Overall, quite good; prefer this place over Sushi Edo but it’s not as convenient for me.
Admittedly I went after work at about 4pm and there wasn’t a soul in the place and not much on the train unsurprisingly. What I did have was nice. Just the stocko chicken and avo, tuna etc. The price may be cheap, but the pieces were also really really small. Will have to go back in peak hour and see how it rates. Chefs/waitresses lovely and friendly.
