Went for breakfast during the week. Such a busy little coffee shop.. Could tell why as coffee was delicious. The was only 2 other tables eating when we arrived.. Large menu to choose from. It took almost 30 mins for our breakfast to arrive. Serving are huge! Unfortunately for myself and husband whilst the food was fresh and presented well it wasn’t overly enjoyable. My husband had the banana and bacon Dish but the sweet glaze had a burnt flavour. I had the vege breakfast it just was missing something to bring it together. Everyone who worked there was lovely:)

Around a week ago, I had the pleasure of joining Mr and Mrs. Tomcat for brunch. Situated in a small complex is a family owned business, named The Dale Espresso Bar & Cafe. The establishment is furnished with clean wooden tables and comfy chairs with cushions. There is a vast selection of foods on offer including your good old Breakfast staples, Sandwiches, Sweets, Breads and Salads. For beverages, there were Smoothies, Milkshakes, Coffees, and Teas available. We met up on a Thursday morning settling with the following order: Mocha coffee, Lemon&Ginger Tea, Piccolo, Eggs Benedict, Veggie Breaky and an Eggs Supreme.Coffee&Tea – The coffees didn’t take long to arrive (PNG single origin blend by Simply Beans). Starting off with my Mocha, unfortunately, did not consist an adequate balance of chocolate and coffee. Overall, tasted like a hot chocolate more so than a caffeinated beverage. Presented next was the piccolo, which I have no feedback for as I didn’t get a taste. However, I do remember the coffee giving out a beautiful aroma (Mr. Tomcat finished every drop in that little cup, assuming it must have been good!). Last on our beverage list was the lemon&ginger tea. The loose leaf tea contained a wonderful soothing scent, very fragrant with nice equal flavors of both lemongrass and ginger.Food – The Eggs Benedict was served first with, Turkish bread, Smoked Ham, Poached Eggs and Hollandaise sauce. The Turkish bread was well-toasted layered with a generous amount of smoked ham that consisted nice meaty flavors. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked exposing a runny yolk when cut into. Finished off was the creamy hollandaise sauce. The second dish on the table was the Veggie Breaky consisting, sourdough toast, home-made beans, mushrooms, spinach, halloumi cheese and poached eggs. The beans were soft and flavourful (by far my favorite beans!). Halloumi cheese had a nice chewy texture. Accompanied with perfectly cooked toast, poached eggs, mushrooms, and spinach. Finally, the Egg Supreme: Toasted Turkish Bread, Baby Spinach, Butcher’s Smoked Bacon, Poached Eggs, Avocado and Hollandaise Sauce. Again, everything was delightful, with the added fan-like ripe avocado and the crispy bacon I can tell you, my palate was having a pretty good time! All in all, customer service was great. Staff were welcoming and were always smiling. Thank you so much, Kate, for your awesome service!Good Stuff: Keep an eye out for their lunch and breakfast specials! Their coffees and teas are a must try!! Parking in the complex and street parking is available.

The Dale is a family owned and operated cafe hidden away in Rochedale South. The simple and elegantly designed establishment houses a small indoor dining and alfresco area. A good selection of bread, pastries and sweets was available in the display fridge with a well laid out breakfast and light meal offering. We were there for weekday brunch with a fellow foodie and ordered: hot drinks, eggs benedict, eggs supreme and the vegie brekkie. The hot drinks arrived first and consists a piccolo, mocha and lemon & ginger tea. The coffee beans used here is a PNG single origin blend from Simply Beans. As a piccolo, sweet malt and nuttiness flavours were present. As a mocha, the chocolate was on the overpowering side but enjoyable none the less. The lemon & ginger tea was the star of the drink selection with fragrant and fresh ginger scent with a well balanced lemongrass flavour. Mrs Tomcat reckons its the best ginger based tea she has ever had and I agree. Overall for hot drinks, it’s confident 4/5Mrs Tomcat’s egg benedict arrived first with smoked ham and two poached egg all on top of soft Turkish bread drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Poached eggs was cooked to perfection and presents an appetising runny yolk. The ham was flavorful with big bold smoky taste. Paired with the soft Turkish bread and well seasoned hollandaise sauce you have a dish surely to please. 4/5The egg supreme was up next with all the egg benedict ingredients (minus the ham) plus baby spinach, smoked bacon and avocado. The bacon was cooked crispy with big smoky flavours. The addition of avocado made this dish a rich and flavourful one. As an overall package its a solid 4/5.Vegie brekkie made a late entry with grilled halloumi, poached eggs, house made baked beans, mushroom and baby spinach with slices of sourdough. The baked beans were soft and mushy with tastes of mixed spice. Paired with the perfectly grilled halloumi, soft & runny poached eggs and freshly made sourdough, my palate was taken to a happy place. I am not a big veggie bekkie lover but this dish has changed my mind. Bravo! 4.5/5Overall service was very friendly and attentive. The manageress Kate showed true passion and knowledge towards menu items and sourcing organic goods locally. It is great to see local small business supporting local produce. Keep up the good work! 5/5Hint: Their vegie brekkie and egg supreme comes highly recommended. The coffees are great but their organic tea selection is outstanding.

The Dale is my cafe away from my own cafe. On the rare day off it is the only place in Logan that I head for delicious coffee and tasty food!

I’ve been a few times and the coffee is so inconsistent. Small place too – not much space. The food is ok. I’ve had to wait a long time to even be acknowledged a few times & considering the size of the place that seems hard to do.

1st and last visit. Ran out of bagels and turkish bread, service was slack, meals came out staggered over 10-15mins, had to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper after 5 mins, coffee order was wrong, but hay may have been an off day.
