Havin seen this place last time searching for food so decided to give this place a try. Went the bento box with chicken karaage and wife went the teriyaki beef don.You can watch while the chef cooks your meal, meat. Cooking the egg was a little different after a fry on the hot plate, finished off with butane torch.The serving size are decent, so for the price you get a good meal. Bento box comes with a miso soup, salmon sashimi and salad, $1 for 3 spring rolls. The flavors all balance, rice was cooked perfectly and right amount of sauce for the chicken.Wife enjoyed her meal, but could have been more beef, she didn’t end up eating all the rice. Rice to beef little out balanced. Spring rolls were nice entree.
Decided to give aburi a try, the waiting time was a bit ( actually a lot) longer (about 15 minutes) than hanaichi, but the chicken karaage with rice was delicious, and it came with fresh salad with the choice of garden or cole slaw, the portion is rather big too, definitely gonna try other dishes when Im in garden city next
