Located right in front of JB Hi-Fi at the Westfield Garden City, the store can be easily found due to its bright red colour.Ordered the Mozarella Hot Dog. The service was rather slow and the portion was smaller than I expected, as compared to the price. It may be a perfect size for an afternoon snack but I would not recommend it for a meal. The taste was okay; savoury as I expected it to be. The melting cheese was nice and makes it taste better. It was an okay snack, but I personally would not be attracted to buy it for a second time.
The corn dogs were really good. I liked how you could put the toppings (mustard, ketchup, barbecue and sugar) on yourself. The outside of the batter was crunchy but the inside was nice and soft and sweet. From the description of “black rice” I thought it would literally be rice, but I think they just put a bit of rice in when they made the dough.I also thought that the half-n-half ($5.50?) would be a sausage surrounded by mozzarella cheese, but it’s actually half vertically, so the top half is hot cheese and the bottom half is sausage. It was still good though – the stretchiness of the cheese made rounds on Instagram for weeks. The juice was pretty poor though and not worth getting. I got the chocolate banana expecting something similar to the King William Chocolate at Boost but it has a weird sickeningly sweet taste. I’m not sure what they put in it.
Juicy now serves a selection of hot dogs along with their beverages similar the the hotdog/dagwood dogs at Hongs. The grape juice my friend ordered wasn’t to my taste but it did taste exactly like grape so if you go love green grapes I recommend it. The hotdogs had a dusting of sugar on them and was much sweeter than I expected. It also wasn’t as crispy as I thought it would be but it was still an enjoyable and affordable snack if you want a sweet but savoury snack.
