Newnham Hotel has removed their lunch menu which included a drink for $12.95. No regard for regular, older patronswho enjoyed a reasonably priced lunch.Paid for a full lunch today – no better than the ‘old’ lunch and, in fact, a steak that was supposed to be medium rare was well done and tough.Unlike most Fridays – very few patrols and the Managements can now add another 2 who won’t be back. .Standard of cleanliness of table and chairs also ‘down’. Management should go to other establishments, near by and check pricing – maybe then they will get the msg that second class isn’t good enough when charging high prices.

Good honest and very tasty pub food for an excellent price. Highly recommended and will definitely be back time and time again! Thanks!
This is my absolute favorite place to have dinner! Me and my partner have been going to The Newnham since we met 2 and a half years ago, once we were there every Sunday night for about 8 months. The ever changing interior makes it more welcoming each time with blankets provided for chilly nights outside, children’s area (not that ive ever used it), friendly staff who make an amazing lemon lime and bitters every time and fantastic value for money with a specials menu on every day. No it doesn’t have a pumped up atmosphere but they always have good music playing and a beautiful relaxed ‘feel’ to the place. Hands down my favorite place and always a perfect ‘go to’ place where your garenteed good meal
I don’t know what happened … maybe the the cat that vomited on my food got shot or died or something but the improvement was … well worth it. Yes to the damn roast.19 Mar, 2013Booooring. The $10 lunch menu does the job for those Friday work pub lunches. Not somewhere you’d go for the atmosphere though.
