Had a quick dinner at this Ramen Den in Eight Street last night. It was a disappointed experience. Not to mention about its price, which is slightly higher than its competitor, the production of this particularly store is much worse than its sibling in Underwood. I ordered the prawn broth with Charsiu and additional Scampi that was charged for $18.00 with warm broth and small portion of noodles and soup. Taste is not as good as what I had at Underwood. Moreover, Gyoza is dried without juicy content as compared those that I had at its mother store. I urge the management needs to face this problem otherwise I am doubt if the business can survive inside Eight Street among so many competitors!Rating 2.5/5
Walking through 8 Street at Garden City, I decide to return for some Ramen as it’s been 6 months since my last review. The Prawn Ramen is good but is still not the same high quality as their Underwood outlet. This is still a good Ramen meal for a Food Court lunch.
Ok wow! I’ve been lucky enough to find some really tasty ramen places lately but this one definitely tops the cake! We ordered both the pork and prawn broth to compare. The pork broth was unbelievable, very rich, creamy and flavoursome but not too salty. The meat has a great Smokey chargrilled flavour which also goes into the broth giving a nice touch. The meat is tender and melts in your mouth and noodles cooked to perfection. The prawn broth was also very delicious and tasty but as you continue to eat it does get a bit rich, the pork was definitely the winner!!! Definitely a must try! We will definitely be back.
Amidst the myriad of food stalls at Garden City’s 8 Street lies a little ramen stand with a nice variety of soupy noodly goodness. Atmosphere: part of the 8 Street food court. Service: order at the counter, take buzzer and find a seat,, the serving girls are ultra polite and the did comes fairly quickly. Food: i had the basic ramen off the customisable menu with pippies and a couple of slices of pork. It was a decent soup with firm noodles. Verdict: value for money was ok.
