Well, yeah the cook had a wok, and he tossed my food. So that’s the name summed up. Can’t say I am amazingly impressed by his attitude towards a round eye, but he made a mean ‘salty fish rice’….after telling me I can’t have 2 other of my preferred dishes.
Having written the critic on the Noodle Box at the Village remind me a similar place down the road – Wok N Toss. This food outlet provides a very wide range of dishes on the menu, which covers Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian. Food is average as what you can have from suburban Chinese Take Away restaurant. The only comment is on the menu of family sets, which is barely categorized dishes in sets of different countries. Honestly, I was born in Hong Kong and I never know that Honey Chicken and Beef with Black Bean are the representative signature dishes in Hong Kong. The same trouble is on the Chinese set which does not show any authenticity. Sometimes, focus on serving some authentic dishes will attract more customers; we need quality but not varieties.
