I LOVE this place for malatang. The soup is amazingly flavourful and you can ask for lots of sauces and condiments to be added into your soup. There’s a multitude of ingredients to pick from to add to your soup. I really love the fish cake andglass vermicelli. The meatballs were a too chewy for my liking.
Time for an updated review. Like my previous visit, I am here with .iHo and we are foraging in the 8 Street Food Court! My mind is set on a spicy and hot Soup noodle lunch. I select 10 ingredients (mung bean noodle, beef, lamb, beef tripe, quail eggs, tofu, green vegetables, bamboo shoots, oyster mushrooms and bean sprouts. Taking my bowl of ingredients to the counter it is weighed (@ $28/kg) and I am charged $16. My ingredients will be cut up and cooked in a hot spicy soup. Ten minutes and my lunch is ready. My meal is poorly presented which is disappointing. I add fried chilli oil, sesame paste and blended garlic to my soup noodles and I see the soup barely covers the ingredients. The spicy beef soup tastes a tad different with excessive Sichuan chilli which masks the tasty beef soup. The ingredients are mostly over cooked. Not a great meal with too many negatives. Hence, the overall score reduces from 4 to 3!
