Big Roddys Rippin Rib Shack is definitely rippin! Ordered a full rack of pork ribs with the sweet potato fries as the side. The ribs were absolutely delicious, moist, falling off the bone with an addictive sauce basted over the top and perfect grill marks. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries but they werent really to my sisters liking. Would 100000% come back
We had a voucher given to us for my partners birthday, we had to wait around half an hour for seating but we got one in the end. The service was awesome, the waiter gave us recommendations and we ended up getting the loaded fries which were really really good. The corn on the cob and the chicken burger was great. Its very filling and greasy though but a good rare treat to have.
This place is the bomb. Delicious wings? Yes. Fall-of-the-bone ribs? Yes. Great burgers? Yes. Poutine to die for? Yes, yes, yes. The only problem with Big Roddys is that Deliveroo doesnt deliver to us, something that I have addressed, but has only been resolved once. Then it went back to no delivery zone. We live in the city, next to the Story Bridge. I crave Big Roddys on a weekly basis. Go there, or get it delivered. The poutine rocks my socks.
The ribs @bigroddysribs were da Amazing value. Amazing taste. FULL Baby back ribs $36 (Half for $22) Jala-Macca-Pn $12 Garlic Butter Beans (Free side) .Coleslaw (free side) .. The Ribs were fall-off-bone soft and delicious. I ordered average spice but wasnt hot enough though they have all the sauces available to you, so I grabbed one of their house made hot bbq sauce and slathered on some spice. (You can purchase their sauces for home) . The garlic butter green beans were off the hook tasty. Cant believe I enjoyed beans that much . The Jala-Macca-Pn were ok, but I wouldnt order them again. They werent too flavourful but the dip they gave with it was ( I shouldve tried their fries) .. The ribs here werent only delicious. They were also HUGE, compared to many other places. Awesome value for $$$ ..Ill definitely come back for more.
Don’t believe the hype, not sure why this place is rated so highly. The fried chicken burger i ordered was dry and sauceless, wasnt satisfied with it at all. The best part of my meal would have to be the pork ribs. Not sure id be back anytime soon.
Remember it was mid June that we dined in this eatery for a Sunday lunch with a voucher. It was not that busy when we arrived around 12:15pm but the place was full house after 15 minutes. Service is very friendly and attentive. We followed the offer from the voucher to get the drinks and half rack of pork rib, beef short ribs, buffalo wings and side dish of corn on the cob to share between us. It did not take a long time to have everything on our table. Sauce of buffalo wings is spicy enough, pork ribs are tenderised and the beef short ribs are the hero of the day. They are so tenderised that melted in my mouth with the delicious sauce that deserve our thumb-up!Rating 4.5/5
