Tried the salt and pepper squid, tender and salty but quite oily, I enjoyed it but couldnt eat as a whole meal. The pizza with beans, sour cream etc was actually really nice, like a nacho pizza. Not a bad place to start a night out.
On Sunday I went to this establishment after many recommendations as I am an artist and it’s in the arts precinct ( right next door to the museum of modern art. I was turned away because of my neck tattoo that is of a paint brush and paint pallet. The irony was the security were covered in Tatts. Such a shame that two tourists ready to spend an unlimited amount of dollars were turned away because of expensive art on my body. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS DISCRIMINATORY VENUE. In 2018, in the precinct it is located its quite frankly disgusting. You never know who your refusing, prepare for star rating to drop even lower over the next two weeks. Peace from the cashed up artists you turned away.
I have seen the bright coloured lights on top of The Fox Hotel many times, and last night hubby and I decided to investigate.Staff directed us to the stairs only to find out later there is a lift. Oh well, I needed the exercise of 4 flights of stairs!Once we got to the roof, I loved the feel and ambience of this bar. The music was not too loud. Every table gave you a great view of the city skyline or Southbank streets below. The bar offers pizza and snack foods in its small kitchen on the roof.Cocktails are $17, usual price. The on tap Berties Apple Cider was dry crisp and refreshing. Will definitely be back and will remember the lift!!
Limited food and drink menu options. Staff who appear to hate their jobs and enjoy sending patrons up and down the stairs for cocktails instead of advising to walk around the corner. And not mentioning a lift exists. Poor form. This could be a great gem but it really missed the mark.
A really good place for functions, with a great range of drinks, amazing view and the food you get as part of the package are of good value and really really tasty.
