I was hoping to find the perfect place to take someone special, not just anywhere. I searched and searched and then I came across Grown. I have to say, I was incredibly impressed with the service, the food and the atmosphere. All the menu items were perfectly made and tasted amazing. They are quite well priced for the high quality as well. I will be certainly going back ASAP!

Went there today with a friend that recommended the place. I can see why. The menu is refreshingly different and has a different focus to other run of the mill cafes in the area. The food was fresh, aesthetically pleasing and inventive. I personally loved the use of tofu in the menu as an alternative to meat. I tried my friend’s espresso and it was probably the best coffee of the day after our coffee hunting trip to three other coffee spots in west end. If you haven’t, you need to check this place out!

Absolutely wowed by each dish we had. The presentation, taste and creativity each dish delivered was on point. The flavours were unique and complemented each other. We had the pan fried zucchini, baked beetroot, Smokey mash tempeh and organic baked potatoes. Service was snappy, friendly, informative and accommodating. Fine dining in Brisbane at its best.

Went here for Saturday lunch with friends. We ordered fresh juice, smoothie and coffees to start. For lunch, we had the hashbrown, scrambled tofu and the French toast. All meals were brought out by the head chef, who enthusiastically explained to us the ingredients and dishes. As we were pretty impressed already, my partner and I also had the lemon pannacotta. All dishes were fresh and flavourful, with the stars probably going to the scrambled tofu and pannacotta.Service was great. Lovely setting and casual ambience.Overall, a wonderful vegetarian/vegan (sourcing fresh and local products) addition to the West End dining scene.

Today I was at the vegan market and someone recommended me this place which is a 100% plant based coffee shop that has recently opened in west end and I did not have to think twice about it.Arriving there the place was gorgeous, modern decoration that still gives you the feeling of what the place is about. After pondering for a bit I opted for a long black and a Tofu toastie and my partner went for a lime Panna Cota. The long black was strong and well balanced between acidity and bitterness. I would rate it a 4 or 45 out of 5.The tofu toastie was crunchy outside and had a perfect combination of veggies with tofu, I wish I could have had a bit more of the sesame cheese though as I couldn’t taste much of it. Overall it’s a bit expensive ($12 for a Tofu toastie) but I truly enjoyed it and would happily order it again. I would rate it a 4.5 out of 5.The Lime Panna Cota was also an interesting dish, the muesli, fresh fruits and coconut milk served together were a nice complement to it, but since the Panna Cota was probably made with soy milk kinda reminded me of a Soy Custard (which did not make it a bad experience). I would rate it a 4 out of 5.Overall I wish there were more restaurants like this around town, great plant based food made by a creative mind.
