We ate dinner here after an afternoon show. Bookings are recommended. We made use of the two course, side, and glass of wine for $70 per person. I ordered the sauted Mooloolaba king prawns for entree. The prawns were balanced beautifully by the tomato coulis and fennel. For my main course, I ordered the kingfish and a side of hand cut chips with garlic aioli. The accompanying spiced cauliflower, rice and lentil pilaf was sensational. This meal just made me want to come back for more, such was the care taken in all aspects of preparation and plating. Our table service was exemplary. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Our table also provided a good view of the clean and well managed kitchen. We’ll be back!
We had dinner here tonight after an early show and couldn’t fault either the service or the food. We chose the 2 course, side and wine for $70 which was incredibly good value. The hardest part was ordering as there were 3 entrees and 2 mains that I really wanted to try. In the end I settled on the simple half dozen oysters followed by risotto. The oysters came with a dipping sauce which was too overpowering but this didn’t bother me as I just wanted lemon squeezed over them. The risotto looked like a work of art and tasted delicious. The vegetables were unnecessarily covered in sour cream but were otherwise delicious. Service was fantastic!
Excellent food – one of the best steaks I have had in a while – service was great. Food is better than the cafe style decor suggests. I would recommend if you are going to lyric theatre
Dined here 14/5 prior to seeing La Traviata. Great food and courteous service. Waitress confirmed that we were seeing a show at 7:30 and we had plenty of time to enjoy drinks and all 3 courses without ever feeling time pressured. Food was presented and cooked beautifully. Highly recommend the salmon. All in all a great experience .
Excellent service. For my birthday, wife took me to dinner at Lyrebird, and play at QPAC after.Arrived at 6 pm, immediately seated and drinks provided.Menu and wine list has good variety. Enjoyed chef special, steak and crab. Cooked to perfection.Food was served promptly allowing us time to enjoy dinner, drinks and desert, and make it to play without rushing.Highlight was excellent service. Lauren and Aly made us feel welcome, and regularly checked in with us. Aly provided finger bowl without us asking.Happy to recommend.Five stars
Can’t fault the service however the food was average and overpriced. Also a very tired and dated interior. Plenty of better restaurants in the vicinity.
Disappointing. Well to be fair the scallops were well done and dessert was delicious but that is were the praise stops. the medium steak was rare and the salmon was way over cooked and dry. the waiter really had no idea what was going on and could not pronounce the wine. all up a disappointing night far from a experience you would expect for the location and price.
