  Have long heard great things about Maeve Wine Bar, situated above Starbucks at South Brisbane and a friend of mine (who should really be paid as their brand ambassador) kept mentioning it to me every time we met up over a meal. With such a strong recommendation for this place, we went there with a small group for a mid week treat after work.

  We really liked it here. The wine was great and the food was good enough and different. Was a touch salty though. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Was a nice experience and would go back.

  I wanted to like this place. The food is good if quite small in serving sizes and it read on the menu much better than it actually tasted. Over-promised and under- delivered. The service is also a problem here. Our waiter wasn’t up to the job and left us with empty plates until we had to ask for the table to be cleared. I wouldn’t make a return visit in a hurry. I think over-hyped restaurants often lose their edge when busy. A victim of its popularity?

  Visited for dinner before a qpac event.Could not have asked for a better experience. The food and wine were both excellent.Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful when we had questions about the wine menu.Highly recommend! I’ll be back.
