Friendly staff with a great knowledge of the products on their shelves. If you don’t see it on the drinks menu just ask. Or in my case ask them to mix a custom blend of slow gin and whiskey. Mmmm
Nice little spot for a drink. Not too many seats so perfect if your solo. The menu is quite innovative and they will make to your request if they don’t have somethings you like
Ignorance is bliss. I had no idea this place existed but was dragged here by those in the know for a nightcap. Unfortch they don’t do food in house anymore but you can BYO from other Fish Lane local eateries. Hipster bar dude & crowd, check. Hipster atmosphere, check. Hipster honeycomb, check. I have been schooled.
Cool little bar, no name from the outside but not too difficult to find really. Enjoyed an excellent cocktail from an interesting list, a little on the pricey side for all drinks. Although it didn’t effect us too much they had run out of pretty much all the beers which wasn’t great for some of the other customers. Enjoyed my cocktail but probably won’t rush back.
Finding this bar made me feel as though I’d gamely hunted through the backstreets and alleyways of Brisbane in order to frequent a speakeasy of the Prohibition era. The reward is a cosy atmosphere where the tenders are super cool, relaxed, and friendly. Watching them build your dream cocktail feels as spiritually enriching as taking part in a Japanese tea ceremony but tastes a damn sight better when the goods are served. You pay the price for the experience from memory the damage is around $20 per cocktail but it’s worth it. Take your time and savour the moment.
I agree with Hels review, great atmosphere in this bar. I loved the fact that it was tiny and intimate, there was only about 10 people in here when we were there and it was great. The bar tender made delicious cocktails too!
Fantastic little bar – with an innovative cocktail list and great, knowledgeable bar staff. This bar is literally tiny, great to sit at the bar and watch cocktails being made. helskitchen.org
