**This review is for the bar only **A wonderful surprise. My wife and I were looking for somewhere to start our dinner dates, and this proved to be a perfect stop. The decor is a nice change from your neighborhood rowdy pub, and had nice seating and music. I was immediately concerned that a place with such nice decor was going to leave me broke and thirsty. But No! They serve beer in pints not just schooners. And what is more.**One pint of wild yak and one gin and tonic came to a little over 17$! That’s a BARGAIN . **I also highly recommend the ” crispy fries with parmesan ” And icing on the cake is the service. Friendly, fast, and attentive. If you enjoy wine they have a lovely exhaustive selection including some on tap
In West End with a friend and was looking somewhere to have a late lunch at 2.30pm. We stumbled on The Montague Hotel and thought a it was great idea as I had never been and love trying new places. The decor is very modern and inviting with a very cool mural on the main wall. There were 2 tables of patrons in the pub sitting in the outside area, so we asked if the kitchen was still open. Yes it was, so we order a Smokey Wagyu Beef Burger from the Bar Menu to share and 2 Lemon Lime & Bitters to quench our thirst. We waited over 15 minutes for our burger and fries. Sorry, but when there is minimal patrons and lunch rush over, I would of expected this quick short order meal a lot sooner.I must say the burger tasted very nice and the patty has a touch of pinkness in the meat, not over cooked! Perfect! It was a big mouthful of burger and the fries were super crisp and served with a ramekin of tomato sauce! Great place for Sunday drinks, so quite happy to come again. Just hope they can cope a bit faster on a busy night.
