Eritrean food served traditionally with great flavour hits. It is a community run restaurant & the service is homely & friendly. Started off our meal with dips & traditional bread to dunk. Too much bread not enough dip though! Dips were so delicious & tasty with plenty of spice, wanted more. They were out of fish that night so I ordered the pumpkin dish which was rich, thick & spicy, with tomatoes, onion & garlic. Great flavor combination bang on. Also tried out the traditional drink, sort of a nutty creamy texture, very different
It was great to try something completely different and new. We had the share platter for 2 which was 3 mains as well as bread and dips and salad. It was all delicious and so interesting to try African food for the first time. The service was also very polite and the restaurant was very clean and homely. I have to deduct half a point for not having any Coke.
