I freaking love this place. Great beers you can order takeaway. You can have Mac and cheese multiple ways- Im a purist so have it regular and its good. Bacon is a delish add on too. Burgers are great and only $10 on a Tuesday. Love the service- theyre good banter.
Boutique beers and some are tasty little numbers. I’ve had a stout and a couple of sours (Cactus etc.) here and really enjoyed them.I shared a side of fries. The chipotle tomato relish was absolutely killer. Only criticism is that the ramekin wasn’t piled high with it.The jerk chicken burger lacked acidity and flavour in general.Loved the live music that was on Monday night and the chill vibe that the place is also known for. There are some pinball machines, fairy lights over the street and loads of kegs out there front for collection, which lines up with the tastiness of the beer and prices.Deductions mainly for the burger.
With everything else SBC had going for the menu is a letdown. They have friendly staff, a good vibe, nice location, and great beer choices. Would you like your burger with beef, chicken, lamb, or just veggie? Want chips with your burger? Sorry, they don’t have a deep fryer. The burger was good but overpriced at $15 with absolutely no side. The desserts are good but go somewhere else for mains.
