After my partner joined me we decided to go to sol breads as I’m aware that they have many vegan and vegetarian options.Arriving there and looking at their cabinet raised my expectations as everything looked fresh and delicious. We ended up ordering the pitaya bowl (they were out of acai), a paleo caramel slice, a gold mylk and a coconut. The gold mylk which is made with turmeric and some other spices had a nice flavour to it but didn’t have the punch nor the creaminess that I was expecting, was good but I think there are better options to be ordered. Would rate it a 3.5 out of 5.The pitaya bowl was nice and not too runny with plenty of fresh fruits and toppings to make yourself entertained for a while. It had a nice flavour to it and was a huge serve. Would rate it a 4 out of 5.The paleo caramel slice was delicious, was not too sweet but still had a strong caramel flavour to it and the bitterness coming from the ganache on top which I guess was a dark chocolate ganache made it even more interesting, also the texture added to it was just what I had always wanted from a caramel slice. The downside is, there was a hair in the middle of the slice, literally in the middle, when I carved my fork I saw that little fella dingling around still stuck in the middle of the slice. I took it to the waitress and she asked me if I wanted another one (although it was nice of her, once you know your food had someone’s hair in it I don’t think you would like another slice of the same dessert) and I declined, I kinda expected them to refund me the amount or offer me another dessert but it did not happen. Without hair I would rate it a 4.5 out of 5, but in this case I will score it a 1.Overall it is a good place and they have nice food but they seemed so relaxed about the hair in the food that I’m not sure if I would ever come back.
Worst service I’ve experienced in a long while. The staff are ore interested in socialising than focusing on their jobs. Coffee was good once we received it 20 minute later and they remembered who ordered it.
This is a great place for having a breakfast in the morning. The place is cozy and people are really nice.I just took away a croissant and it tastes good (wish I can try more)There are many other freshly baked breads and a breakfast menu. They should be worth a try!
Love Sol Breads vegan menu. So much variety- love the cheezeburger! The patty is fantastic, I bet you’ wouldn’t be able to tell the difference if you usually eat animal flesh! Delicious coffee too.
Best cafe in Brisbane. Generous portions and delicious food. So many original and creative vego/vegan options. Great service. They are now open Friday and Saturday nights for pizzas. Amazing!! About $20 each which is way too much for one person. So many great vego toppings and a really good base. They also have a gluten free base which I tasted and was really impressed with! Can sit in the back garden under the fairy lights and byo.
Went here for the vegan options and was VeRY pleased! I had the Vegan Benny.. absolutely delicous With fluffy crispy croissant base, avo, kale, microherbs and the yummiest vegan holandaise-style sauce = Taste bud explosion of LOvE. My partner had the Tofu Scramble which he thoroughly enjoyed I had a taste and flavours were amazing.. kind of maple .. very different, very delicious. Super chilled outdoor area down a pebbled walkway out back which was a great way to escape the crazy weekend crowd that was jam packed inside the shop.Ohhh and I also had vegan Banana Bread = YUMMMMm!
Went there this morning, 15.4.17. The food was good. HOWEVER, i cannot tell you if the inside was nice and quiet, or if the staff was friendly. Why, you might ask? Great question! I am on a wheelchair. Yes, due to reasons beyond my control, I am strolling around with my wheelies. I went there with my wife to celebrate our one year anniversary as a married couple. Sadly, I couldn’t go in since there are two steps at the entrance and no ramp. I cannot recommend a place that caters for able-bodied people only. We, the disabled community, are NOT half-human. We want to enjoy the indoors like everyone else. I will not set foot in this place ever again.I will be happy to give this place the 5 stars its worth, if they were to fix a ramp outside the place
